Hammond 1551WXGASKET Silicone Replacement Gasket 2-Pack, 80x80mm Size

The 1551WXGASKET is a 2-pack of replacement silicone gaskets for the 1551WX size of the 1551W watertight polycarbonate miniature enclosure series. It is for maintenance technicians, OEM production teams and integrators who open and re-seal these enclosures in service, or who want spares on hand for field repairs.

In the 1551W series the gasket is the replaceable silicone seal between box and lid that protects against ingress of water or dust, and the enclosures it serves are designed to meet IP68. The gasket listing itself carries the IP68 rating and is made of silicone.

Each gasket measures 2.95 in x 2.95 in x 0.05 in (75 mm x 75 mm x 1 mm). Per the series ordering table it is the replacement gasket for the 1551WX enclosures, which measure 80 mm long (not including flange) by 80 mm wide by 22 mm deep including the lid. That covers all four variants of this size: 1551WXBK and 1551WXGY without flange, and 1551WXFLBK and 1551WXFLGY with integrated wall-mounting flanges, in black or light gray.

The 1551WXGASKET is RoHS and REACH compliant and is packed in a bag. When refitting a lid, the series drawings recommend 71-100 ozf.in (50-70 cN.m) of torque on the #4 cover screws. Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic, including acetone, ketones, ethers, thread-locking compounds and cutting or tapping fluid, so check compatibility before cleaning or modifying.
