Hammond 1551WKGY 80x40x22mm Watertight Polycarbonate Enclosure, Gray

The 1551WKGY is a light gray, flangeless watertight miniature enclosure in the 1551W series, sized 80 x 40 x 22 mm. It suits designers and integrators building small electronic devices that must stay sealed against water and dust, whether mounted inside equipment or used outdoors.

The enclosure is molded from robust polycarbonate with a satin texture finish and a UL94 V-0 flame rating. A replaceable silicone gasket seals the lid, and the design is intended to meet IP68. The assembly includes box, lid, gasket and four #4 plastite self-tapping cover screws.

Length is 80 mm (3.15 in), width 40 mm (1.57 in) and depth 22 mm (0.87 in) including the lid. Standoffs molded into the interior accept #2 self-tapping screws and a printed circuit board up to 74.5 mm long by 34.5 mm wide. Recommended torque is 71-100 ozf.in (50-70 cN.m) on the #4 cover screws and 21-28 ozf.in (15-20 cN.m) on #2 internal screws.

Because this version has no flanges it presents a clean rectangular profile; if you need wall-mounting ears, the flanged equivalent is 1551WKFLGY, and the black flangeless version is 1551WKBK. Spare gaskets are sold as 1551WKGASKET (2-pack). The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped at 0.07 lbs (0.03 kg), and can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing.
