Measuring 35 x 35 x 20 mm, the 1551MGY is a compact, square light gray ABS enclosure in the 1551 miniature hand held family. Designers use it to mount very small printed circuit boards or as a potting box where space is tight.
The box and lid are general purpose ABS plastic in light gray (RAL 7035), UL94 HB flame rated, with walls 2 mm (0.08 in) thick. Lap joint construction keeps out dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

Boards fix to molded-in standoffs with #2 x 3/16 in self-tapping screws (not included; see 1551ATS100). The lid is held by the 2 supplied #4 x 1/2 in self-tapping screws, nickel plated to match the grey plastic; the drawing recommends 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m) of torque.
The 1551MGY is RoHS and REACH compliant. Enclosures can also be factory modified, for example by milling, drilling or printing, on quote.
