Hammond 1551NBK 35x35x15mm Black ABS Low-Profile Enclosure

The 1551NBK is the shallow square member of the 1551 miniature hand held series: a black ABS enclosure just 35 x 35 x 15 mm. It is built for tiny, thin printed circuit boards and for potting small assemblies where every millimetre counts.

The box and lid are molded from general purpose ABS in black (RAL 9011), with a UL94 HB flame rating and 2 mm (0.08 in) walls. They meet on a lap joint that protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

Outside dimensions are 1.38 x 1.38 x 0.59 in (35 x 35 x 15 mm) including the lid. Inside, the drawing shows 30.17 x 30.17 mm with an inside height of 11.00 mm (0.43 in). The maximum P.C. board size is 29 x 29 mm, mounted on molded standoffs with #2 x 3/16 in self-tapping screws that are not included (1551ATS100).

Each 1551NBK comes with box, lid and 2 black plated #4 x 1/2 in self-tapping cover screws; recommended torque is 35-43 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m). It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a bag at 0.04 lbs (0.02 kg). For more height on the same footprint, the series offers the 20 mm deep 1551MBK.
