Hammond 1550Z102F 90 x 36 x 30 mm Slim Flanged Watertight Diecast Box

The 1550Z102F is a slim, elongated thick-wall watertight diecast aluminum enclosure with a spot-welded bottom flange. The ordering table lists a nominal body of 3.54 in (90 mm) x 1.42 in (36 mm) with 1.18 in (30 mm) total depth, and the part page gives 4.59 in x 1.43 in x 1.3 in (117 mm x 36 mm x 33 mm) overall including the flange. Its narrow shape suits long, thin boards and inline sensor electronics.

The drawing shows an inside length of 83.22 mm [3.28 in] and inside depth of 25.40 mm [1.00 in]; the maximum P.C. board size listed is 28.02 mm x 82.42 mm. Two piece tongue and groove construction protects against dust and water, and the rib-free walls are unpainted diecast aluminum, vibra finished with no sharp edges.

Unlike the M4 hardware on most sizes, the 1550Z102F lid takes four stainless steel Philips head M3 - 0.5 machine screws; replacements are SC1550Z102-50 (M3 - 0.5 x 12mm, 50 pack). The screws sit outside the silicone gasket, recommended torque is 5-7.5 lbf.in (50-75 cN.m), and the lid height is 0.20 in (5 mm). A #6 self tapping ground screw fits inside.
