Hammond 1550Z102GASKET Silicone Replacement Gasket Pair for 90 x 36 mm Box

The 1550Z102GASKET supplies two pre-formed silicone replacement gaskets for the narrow 1550Z102 and 1550Z102BK thick-wall watertight diecast enclosures, which measure 90 mm x 36 mm. It is the part to keep on hand when a 1550Z102 lid has been opened for service or its original seal needs renewing.

Each gasket is molded as one piece of silicone rubber and installs easily into the lid groove. The 1550Z Series gasket is rated from -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to 302°F). Hammond's description calls it a 1550Z replacement gasket kit for IP66 protection, while the part's listed IP rating is IP68.

Listed size is 3.45 in x 1.32 in x 0.09 in (88 mm x 34 mm x 2 mm). The drawing shows an overall gasket length of 87.60 mm [3.45 in], overall width of 33.60 mm [1.32 in] and a 2.30 mm [0.09 in] cross-section. It fits enclosures of 3.54 in x 1.42 in (90 mm x 36 mm) with 1.18 in (30 mm) total depth.

The 1550Z design keeps the four M3 lid screws of the 1550Z102 outside the gasket protection area, so no o-rings are involved and a gasket change is simply a matter of seating the new part in the groove and refastening the lid to the torque given on the enclosure drawing.
