Hammond 1550Z101F 50 x 45 x 30 mm Flanged Watertight Diecast Box

The 1550Z101F is the smallest flanged enclosure in the 1550ZF series: a thick-wall watertight diecast aluminum box with a spot-welded bottom flange for easy mounting. The ordering table lists a nominal 1.97 in (50 mm) x 1.77 in (45 mm) body with 1.18 in (30 mm) total depth, while the part page gives an overall size of 3.02 in x 1.78 in x 1.3 in (77 mm x 45 mm x 33 mm) including the flange. It suits compact sensors, small boards and connector housings.

The drawing shows inside dimensions of 44.28 mm [1.74 in] long, 39.28 mm [1.55 in] wide and 25.40 mm [1.00 in] deep, with a maximum P.C. board length of 38.61 mm and width of 43.31 mm. Two piece tongue and groove construction protects against dust and water, the walls have no internal ribs, and the unpainted surface is vibra finished with no sharp edges.

Two stainless steel Philips head M4 - 0.7 machine screws secure the 0.24 in (6 mm) lid outside the pre-formed silicone gasket, which is rated -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to 302°F). Recommended torque is 5-7.5 lbf.in (50-75 cN.m), and the box accepts a #6 self tapping ground screw.

The 1550Z101F is rated IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 12 & 13 and is cUL and UL listed under file #E71073. Note that the series data excludes the 1550Z101F from the IK08 impact rating. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and weighs 0.18 lbs (0.08 kg), supplied with box, lid, silicone gasket and 2 cover screws.
