Hammond 1550Z101FBK Black 50 x 45 x 30 mm Flanged Watertight Diecast Box

The 1550Z101FBK is the black textured version of the compact 1550Z101F flanged enclosure. It is a thick-wall watertight diecast aluminum box with a strong spot-welded bottom flange, sized at a nominal 1.97 in (50 mm) x 1.77 in (45 mm) x 1.18 in (30 mm) per the ordering table, or 3.02 in x 1.78 in x 1.3 in (77 mm x 45 mm x 33 mm) overall including the flange.

The polyester powder coat is applied inside and out, with cleared areas around the internal grounding points, and it is described as lasting even after machining. The drawing shows an interior of 44.28 mm [1.74 in] x 39.28 mm [1.55 in] x 25.40 mm [1.00 in] deep, and boards up to 38.61 mm long by 43.31 mm wide are listed. Two piece tongue and groove construction protects against dust and water.

A 0.24 in (6 mm) lid is secured by two stainless steel Philips head M4 - 0.7 screws located outside the one-piece silicone gasket; recommended torque is 5-7.5 lbf.in (50-75 cN.m). A #6 self tapping ground screw fits inside.

The 1550Z101FBK is rated IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 12 & 13, is cUL and UL listed under file #E71073, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. As with the 1550Z101F, this size is excluded from the series IK08 impact rating. It weighs 0.18 lbs (0.08 kg) and includes box, lid, silicone gasket and 2 cover screws.
