The 154M is a D.C. reactor, or filter choke, from the 153-159 Series of low to medium current chokes, rated 2H (+/- 15%) at 100 ma. D.C. current. It is intended for engineers and technicians building or repairing power supplies, and the series is described as perfect for high voltage power supply filtering. The 154M is the 100 ma. member of the 154 group, rated 2H with 175 ohms of resistance, for supplies that need more current than the smaller 153-size parts can carry.
Electrically it offers 175 ohms of D.C. resistance with a 15% tolerance on both inductance and resistance, and a 300 V DC maximum operating rating. Because inductance is specified at rated current, the unit shows less inductance at slightly higher currents and more at lower ones.
The choke is built on an open bracket channel frame and vacuum impregnated with polyurethane varnish for quiet, long-life operation. Each unit is 100% Hipot tested at 1,500 VAC and supplied with leads at least 5" long.
