Hammond 149H 1000:60/240 Ohm Driver Transformer, 200 mW PCB Mount

The 149H is the highest primary impedance driver in the 149 Series, pairing a 1000 ohm primary with a 60/240 ohm secondary. It suits designers who need a board-mounted driver transformer to couple a higher impedance stage into a low impedance load, with clinching lugs to hold it firmly on the PCB.

The 149 Series uses an economical, open type, horizontal bracket construction with pin-type terminals for P.C. board mounting, and adds clinching lugs for extra mounting strength. Windings are bifilar wound for balanced capacitive and resistance characteristics on pin bobbins spaced for a standard 0.2" grid, and the series is insulation tested at 250V rms.

The 149H is rated for 200 mW output with a maximum primary D.C. current of 22 mA. D.C. resistance is 155 ohms on the primary and 24 ohms on the secondary (+/- 15%). Frequency response is 200 Hz to 15 kHz (+/- 1 dB, referenced at 1 kHz) and insertion loss is less than 1/2 dB, while total distortion is approximately 2% at 200 Hz for drivers, decreasing at higher frequencies. The split secondary gives a choice of 60 or 240 ohms, wired per schematic figure 2.
