Hammond 1490MK25 25-Hole 22.5mm Sloped Consolet Enclosure, Type 12

The 1490MK25 steps up to the taller K-size body of the 1490 series, with 25 holes for 22.5 mm heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. It is intended for control stations that need many operators in one sloped, wall- or surface-mounted housing. The matching 30.5 mm model is the 1490K25.

The series ordering table lists the enclosure at 14.00 in H x 13.00 in W x 10.13 in D (356 x 330 x 257 mm); the part page gives a nominal 14 x 13 x 10.2 in (356 x 330 x 259 mm). The drawing shows a 14.37 x 13.37 in door, 0.89 in pushbutton holes on 2.25 in centers and 0.25 in back mounting holes. Shipping weight is 17 lbs (7.71 kg).

It is built from formed 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and welded brackets that set the cover at 30° or 60° depending on mounting position. The internally hinged cover is removable and designed to stay open during wiring; captive screws thread into sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket seals the opening. Bonding and grounding studs are provided on the door and enclosure, and the phosphatized steel is powder coated ANSI 61 gray.

Ratings for the series are UL 508A Type 12 and 13 (E65324), CSA Type 12 and 13 (LR21001), and compliance with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 when appropriate components are used. The 1490MK25 is RoHS and REACH compliant.
