Hammond 1490MJ20 20-Hole 22.5mm Sloped Pushbutton Consolet, Type 12

The 1490MJ20 is the widest of the J-height consolets in the 1490 series, providing 20 holes for 22.5 mm heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. OEM builders and maintenance teams use it where a single sloped station needs to carry a larger group of controls on a wall or other surface. Its 30.5 mm counterpart is the 1490J20.

The enclosure measures 11.75 in high, 13.00 in wide and 9.00 in deep (298 x 330 x 229 mm). On the drawing the door measures 12.12 x 13.37 in, the 0.89 in operator holes are spaced on 2.25 in centers, and the back has 0.25 in mounting holes. It ships at 16 lbs (7.26 kg) in a box.

Formed 16 gauge steel and smooth continuously welded seams give a sealed shell, and welded brackets let it mount so the cover slopes at 30° or 60°. The internally hinged cover can be removed, or held open during wiring, and secures with captive screws threading into sealed wells over an oil resistant gasket. A door bonding stud and body grounding stud are included in the design, and the ANSI 61 gray powder coat is applied over a phosphatized surface.

The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and 13 (E65324) and CSA Type 12 and 13 (LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 when appropriate components are used. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
