Hammond 1488EH7 8 x 12 Inch Sloped Front Consolet, Hinged Cover

The 1488EH7 widens the 8 in cover height of the 1488 Series to 12 in, giving more room for controls in a Type 12 hinged cover consolet. Intended for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control and instrument enclosures, it suits flat or surface mounting or a pedestal to provide the necessary 30° or 60° control slope, and protects against dirt, dust, oil and water.

The body is formed 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams. Its construction provides either a 30° or 60° slope on the front cover depending on mounting position. The continuously hinged cover can be taken off by pulling the hinge pin, captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover. There is a bonding stud on the door and a ground stud on the enclosure. The finish is phosphatized steel with ANSI 61 gray powder coating.
