Hammond 1486C24 4 x 4 x 24 in Type 4/12 Wiring Trough

The 1486C24 is a 24 in wiring trough with a 4.00 in x 4.00 in section in the 1486 Series, listed at 4 in x 4 in x 24 in (102 mm x 102 mm x 610 mm). It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water, and its two-foot length is a practical span between side-by-side control enclosures.

The trough is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams. Its butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated stainless steel screw clamps, oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured, and 12 gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back. The trough and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

From the manufacturer drawing: a 23.21 in x 3.21 in opening, a 24.38 in x 4.38 in door, 22.75 in mounting hole spacing and 0.31 in diameter mounting holes.

Series ratings are UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4 and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, and complies with NEMA Type 12, 4 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1486C24 carries UL File E186830 and CSA Cert. LL21312, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships in a box at 10 lbs (4.54 kg).
