Hammond 1486B60 2.5 x 2.5 x 60 in Type 4/12 Wiring Trough

The 1486B60 is a 60 in (1524 mm) Type 4/12 wiring trough from the 1486 Series, with a 2.50 in x 2.50 in section. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water across a five-foot span, useful for long runs of light wiring on conveyors, machine bases and plant walls.

The trough is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams. A butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated stainless steel screw clamps, oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured, and 12 gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back. Trough and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Nominal dimensions are 2.50 in (64 mm) H x 2.50 in (64 mm) D x 60.00 in (1524 mm) L; the manufacturer drawing gives an overall length of 59.99 in and an opening length of 59.41 in. The drawing shows mounting hole spacing of 29.37 in + 29.37 in, 0.31 in diameter mounting holes and a 2.88 in door width.

Series ratings are UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4 and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, and complies with NEMA Type 12, 4 and IEC 60529 IP66. This part carries UL File E186830 and CSA Cert. LL21312, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships in a box at 16 lbs (7.26 kg).
