Hammond 1486B36 2.5 x 2.5 x 36 in Type 4/12 Wiring Trough

The 1486B36 is a 36 in (914 mm) Type 4/12 wiring trough from the 1486 Series with a 2.50 in x 2.50 in section. It is intended to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water, giving electricians and OEM panel builders a sealed three-foot run for small conductor groups.

It is built from formed 14 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams. The butt hinged cover is held closed by easily operated stainless steel screw clamps and seals on permanently secured oil resistant gaskets. External mounting feet of 12 gauge steel are welded to the back, and the trough and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Dimensions: 2.50 in (64 mm) H x 2.50 in (64 mm) D x 36.00 in (914 mm) L. The manufacturer drawing shows a 35.21 in x 1.71 in opening and a 36.38 in x 2.88 in door, with 0.31 in diameter mounting holes.

Series ratings are UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4 and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, and complies with NEMA Type 12, 4 and IEC 60529 IP66. The part carries UL File E186830 and CSA Cert. LL21312, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships in a box at 10 lbs (4.54 kg).
