The 1485FX is the rectangular member of the 1485 X Series adjustable fittings, made to fit 12 x 6 N12 wireway. Installers use it to bridge the final gap between wireway components when the exact length is only known on site: the fitting telescopes to give length adjustment of 2 in to 7 in.
According to the manufacturer drawing, the assembly consists of a base plate, a compression ring and a sealing cover plate. The inside opening measures 11.56 in x 5.63 in to suit the 12 x 6 profile, the base plate is 10.63 in, and fixing holes are 0.28 in diameter. The overall bottom-view dimension on the drawing is 13.63 in.
The fitting is steel with a gray finish and ships in a box at 13 lbs (5.90 kg). One special sealing plate is supplied with it. The part is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
