The 1485DX is an adjustable fitting for 6 x 6 N12 wireway, part of the 1485 X Series of telescoping fittings. It allows on-site length adjustment of 2 in to 7 in, which lets contractors and OEM builders complete a 6 x 6 wireway run without a made-to-length section. The manufacturer short description reads ADJUSTABLE FITTING 8 in.
The fitting is steel with a gray finish. On the manufacturer drawing it consists of an adjustable fitting of 10.25 in, a base plate of 10.63 in, a compression ring and a sealing cover plate, with the adjustable range shown as 2.00 to 7.00 in. Inside dimensions are 5.62 in x 5.62 in. The drawing also shows front-view dimensions of 6.88 in, 3.81 in and 3.31 in, a 1.38 in side-view dimension, a 4.92 in top-view dimension, a 7.63 in bottom-view dimension and 0.28 in diameter holes.
