The 1485EW1 is the 8 x 8 lay-in cut-off fitting in the 1485 W1 Series for N12 wireway. Electricians and machine builders use it to make a lay-in wireway section to a custom length on site. The body comes in two pieces; one piece is cut off, the cover is shortened, and the pieces are welded together.
It is steel with a gray finish and includes one angle sealing plate. The manufacturer drawing shows a door 13.50 in long and 8.33 in wide, front-view dimensions of 4.88 in, 4.25 in and 9.88 in, back-view dimensions of 14.13 in and 4.87 in, side-view dimensions of 6.75 in, 7.95 in, 8.00 in and 7.86 in, an opposite side view with 8.63 in and 4.31 in, and a 9.63 in bottom-view dimension. Holes are 0.28 in diameter.
