Hammond 1456FH2WHCWW 6.5 x 8.5 in Low-Profile 15° Walnut Console

The 1456FH2WHCWW is a low-profile sloped console with real walnut sides, measuring 6.50 in (165 mm) wide and 8.50 in (216 mm) deep. Its 15-degree top runs from a 1.10 in (28 mm) front to a 2.00 in (51 mm) rear, so it sits low on a desk or bench while still tilting the panel toward the user. It is aimed at builders of controllers, keyers, audio gear and small instruments who want a longer, shallow housing.

The side panels are solid oiled walnut, each with a unique colour and grain, mounted on a black, ventilated base made from 0.057" steel. The top panel is 0.064" aluminum powder painted in satin contempra grey (beige).

Hammond's drawing lists an inner box length of 213.06 mm [8.39 in], with inner box heights of 49.17 mm [1.94 in] at the rear and 25.86 mm [1.02 in] at the front. The 1456FH2WHCWW includes the wooden sides, adhesive rubber feet and required hardware. Spare parts are 1421J6 plated cover screws (6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping, pack of 6) and 1421T3 black self-adhesive rubber feet (pack of 24).

The enclosure can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing, and STEP or IGES solid models are available. It ships in shrink wrap at 1.48 lbs (0.67 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Hammond notes the 1456CWW line will soon be discontinued as a stocked series and is available while quantities last.
