Hammond 1441-10 8x4x2-Inch ASA 61 Grey Steel Chassis

The 1441-10 is an 8 in x 4 in x 2 in steel chassis in ASA 61 smooth grey. It shares its footprint with the 1 in high 1441-9 but doubles the height, giving builders more vertical room for components in classic and tube-style electronics while keeping a narrow 4 in depth.

Built from spot welded, heavy duty 20 gauge steel (0.036 in on the drawing) and finished in ASA 61 smooth grey powder paint, it has a nominal size of 8 in x 4 in x 2 in (203 mm x 102 mm x 51 mm). The drawing shows an inner box of 201.37 mm [7.93 in] long, 99.77 mm [3.93 in] wide and 48.97 mm [1.93 in] high, and a chassis height of 50.80 mm [2.00 in].

The underside can be closed with the optional 1431-10 grey or 1431-10BK3 satin black bottom plate, which the chassis is ready for with its 1/8 in holes. For the top, the ordering table lists perforated chassis covers 1451-10 (grey) and 1451-10BK3 (satin black). Hardware is not provided; order 1421J6 (six 6-32 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws) or 1421J6BK in black. Rubber feet are sold separately.

The enclosure can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), and STEP or IGES solid models are available. The 1441-10 is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped and has a shipping weight of 0.9 lbs (0.41 kg). A satin black version is 1441-10BK3.
