Hammond 1437MS16B 2-Hole 22.5mm 316 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1437MS16B is a compact operator station from the 1437SS Series Type 4, 4X Stainless Steel Pushbutton Enclosures, Extra Deep, punched with 2 holes sized for 22.5mm pushbuttons. It is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights, giving machine builders, panel shops, electricians and OEM engineers a ready-made housing for operator controls where the enclosure must provide protection from dirt, dust, oil and water.

The manufacturer lists the 1437MS16B as a 316SS enclosure, formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and left in natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish. The cover is secured with captive cover screws that fasten into threaded, sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seals the joint. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.

The enclosure measures 6.00 in (152 mm) high by 4.00 in (102 mm) wide by 4.75 in (121 mm) deep (extra deep profile), listed as 6 in x 4 in x 4.75 in (152 mm x 102 mm x 121 mm). Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg). As one of the larger sizes in the series, it has an internally hinged removable cover designed to hold the cover open during wiring.

Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Enclosure 4 and 4X, and complies with NEMA Type 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66; appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. The 1437MS16B carries UL File E65324 and CSA certificate LR21001, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
