Hammond 1435MS16C 3-Hole 22.5mm 316 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MS16C is a three-hole pushbutton enclosure for 22.5mm operators, built in 316 stainless steel as part of the 1435SS Series of Type 4, 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. Its narrow single-column body is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights, which makes it a practical start, stop and indicator station for equipment builders and maintenance teams working where machinery is exposed to large amounts of water or highly corrosive conditions.

Construction is formed 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams, left in a natural stainless steel smooth brushed finish. The 1435MS16C has a cover that is not hinged at this size. Captive stainless steel cover screws thread into sealed wells, an oil resistant gasket seals the cover, and a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are provided.

The enclosure measures 8.00 in x 3.25 in x 2.75 in (203 mm x 83 mm x 70 mm). The drawing shows three 0.89 in diameter pushbutton holes at a typical 2.25 in spacing, a door opening height of 6.63 in, and welded mounting brackets with 0.25 in holes on 8.50 in x 2.38 in centres, for an overall height of 9.00 in.

The 1435SS Series is UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Type 4 and 4X listed (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, protecting against dirt, dust, oil and large amounts of water from any angle, or where highly corrosive conditions exist. Appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
