Hammond 1435MS16D 4-Hole 22.5mm 316 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MS16D is a slim four-hole pushbutton enclosure for 22.5mm operators in 316 stainless steel, from the 1435SS Series of Type 4, 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. Four standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches or pilot lights sit in a single vertical column, so the enclosure can be mounted on a narrow machine frame or column. It suits OEM engineers and plant electricians specifying controls for hose-down areas or locations where highly corrosive conditions exist.

Construction is formed 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams, left in a natural stainless steel smooth brushed finish. The 1435MS16D has a cover that is not hinged at this size. Captive stainless steel cover screws thread into sealed wells, an oil resistant gasket seals the cover, and a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are provided.

The enclosure measures 10.25 in x 3.25 in x 2.75 in (260 mm x 83 mm x 70 mm). The drawing shows four 0.89 in diameter pushbutton holes at a typical 2.25 in spacing, a 1.80 in x 8.88 in door opening, and welded mounting brackets with 0.25 in holes on 10.75 in x 2.38 in centres, for an overall height of 11.25 in.

The 1435SS Series is UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Type 4 and 4X listed (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, protecting against dirt, dust, oil and large amounts of water from any angle, or where highly corrosive conditions exist. Appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
