Hammond 1435MS16A Single-Hole 22.5mm 316 Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MS16A is a single-hole pushbutton enclosure for one 22.5mm operator, made from 316 stainless steel as part of the 1435SS Series of Type 4, 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. It is designed to accept a standard heavy duty oil tight pushbutton, switch or pilot light, and suits single-function stations such as an emergency stop, reset or indicator where equipment is hosed down or exposed to highly corrosive conditions.

The body is formed 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams and a natural stainless steel smooth brushed finish. Captive stainless steel cover screws thread into sealed wells and an oil resistant gasket seals the cover. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure. As one of the smallest sizes, the cover is not hinged.

The enclosure is 3.50 in x 3.25 in x 2.75 in (89 mm x 83 mm x 70 mm). The drawing shows a 0.89 in diameter pushbutton hole and welded mounting brackets with 0.25 in holes on 4.00 in x 2.38 in centres, for an overall height of 4.50 in.

The 1435SS Series is UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Type 4 and 4X (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, protecting against dirt, dust, oil and large amounts of water from any angle. Appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. The 1435MS16A is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships boxed at 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
