The 1435MS16B is a two-hole pushbutton enclosure for 22.5mm operators in 316 stainless steel, from the 1435SS Series of Type 4, 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosures. It accepts standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights and is a natural fit for start/stop pairs or a control plus indicator where equipment faces water, oil or highly corrosive conditions.
The enclosure is formed 16 gauge 316 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams and a natural brushed stainless finish. Captive stainless steel cover screws thread into sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket seals the cover, which is not hinged at this size. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are included.
It measures 5.75 in x 3.25 in x 2.75 in (146 mm x 83 mm x 70 mm). The drawing shows 0.89 in diameter pushbutton holes, welded mounting brackets with 0.25 in holes on 6.25 in x 2.38 in centres, and an overall height of 6.75 in including the brackets.
The series is UL 508A Type 4 and 4X and CSA Type 4 and 4X listed (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 4X and IEC 60529 IP66 for protection from dirt, dust, oil and large amounts of water from any angle. Appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. The 1435MS16B is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 2 lbs (0.91 kg).
