Hammond 1427NCGM32B 25 mm Range M32x1.5 Black Nylon Cable Gland, 18

The 1427NCGM32B is a black nylon liquid-tight cordgrip with an M32x1.5 metric thread. It is made for cables in the 18 mm to 25 mm diameter range entering or leaving an enclosure, giving integrators and OEM builders a sealed, strain-relieved entry in a 32 mm mounting hole.

The body is black (RAL 9005) nylon and the seal is NBR (nitrile rubber). A large opening allows a wide range of cable diameters, and the strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence onto the sealing ring, holding the cable without twisting or damaging the cable. A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are supplied with the gland.

This size has an outer length (L) of 1.46 in (37 mm) and an inner thread length (T) of 0.43 in (11 mm), with a mounting hole of 1.26 in (32 mm). Wire diameter runs from 0.71 in (18 mm) to 0.98 in (25 mm). For M32 the guide torque is 7–8 N-m on the sealing nut and 4–7 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

The 1427NCGM32B provides IP68 protection and is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. It is UL listed, rated UL94 V-2 for flammability and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Operating range is -40°C to 100°C static (up to 120° instantaneous) and -20°C to 80°C dynamic (up to 100° instantaneous). Shipping weight is 0.1 lbs (0.05 kg).
