Hammond 1427NCGM20B 12 mm Cable, IP68 M20x1.5 Black Nylon Cordgrip, 6

The 1427NCGM20B is a black nylon cordgrip with an M20x1.5 metric thread, the standard (small-range) M20 size in the 1427NCG series. Used where a cable enters or leaves an enclosure, it gives electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers a sealed, strain-relieved entry for common control and power cables.

It accepts cable from 6 mm (0.24 in) to 12 mm (0.47 in) in diameter. The large opening and NBR (nitrile rubber) seal accept a wide range of diameters, and the strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring so the cable is held without twisting or damage. For 10–14 mm cable on the same M20 thread, the series offers the 1427NCGM20LB.

The 1427NCGM20B installs in a 20 mm (0.79 in) mounting hole. Outer length (L) is 27 mm (1.06 in) and inner thread length (T) is 9 mm (0.35 in). A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are included. The torque table lists M20 (small) at 3.5–4.5 N-m for the sealing nut and 2.5–3.5 N-m for the locknut, as a guide that can vary depending on the application.

In black (RAL 9005), the series is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 with protection to IP68, carries a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and is UL listed. Operating temperatures: static -40°C to 100°C (up to 120° instantaneous), dynamic -20°C to 80°C (up to 100° instantaneous). RoHS and REACH compliant; bagged at 0.03 lbs (0.01 kg).
