Hammond 1427NCGM12B 7 mm Cable, IP68 M12x1.5 Black Nylon Cordgrip, 3

The 1427NCGM12B is a black nylon liquid-tight cordgrip with an M12x1.5 metric thread, the smallest metric size in the 1427NCG series. It is used where a cable enters or leaves an enclosure and suits electronics designers and panel builders sealing thin sensor, signal or low-power cables.

The ordering table lists a cable range of 3 mm (0.12 in) to 7 mm (0.28 in); the part drawing gives the maximum as 6.5 mm. A large opening and NBR (nitrile rubber) seal accept a wide range of diameters, and the strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring so the cable is held without twisting or damage. Choose the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that fits.

The 1427NCGM12B mounts in a 12 mm (0.47 in) hole, with an outer length (L) of 21 mm (0.83 in) and an inner thread length (T) of 8 mm (0.31 in). A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are included. Guide torque for M12 is 0.8–1.5 N-m on the sealing nut and 1–2 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

The colour is black (RAL 9005). The series is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 with IP68 protection, carries a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and is UL listed. Operating temperatures are -40°C to 100°C static (up to 120° instantaneous) and -20°C to 80°C dynamic (up to 100° instantaneous). RoHS and REACH compliant; bag packed, 0.01 lbs (0.00 kg).
