Hammond 1427BCGPG7 4 mm Cable PG7 Nickel Plated Brass Cordgrip, 3

The 1427BCGPG7 is the smallest PG-thread size in the 1427BCG nickel plated brass cordgrip range. It is a liquid-tight cable gland used where a cable enters or leaves an enclosure, well suited to fine sensor, signal and control cables in electronics and instrumentation housings.

The ordering table lists a cable range of 3 mm (0.12 in) minimum to 4 mm (0.16 in) maximum, while the part drawing gives the maximum as 3.5 mm. An NBR (nitrile rubber) seal behind a large opening accepts a range of diameters, and the strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring to hold the cable without twisting or damaging it. Pick the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that fits your cable.

A locknut and EPDM o-ring are included with the 1427BCGPG7. Guide torque for PG7 is 1.5–2.5 N-m on the sealing nut and 2.5–3.5 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

The series is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, gives protection to IP68 and is UL listed. It operates from -40C to +100C with temporary heat resistance up to 120C. RoHS and REACH compliant, bag packed, 0.03 lbs (0.01 kg).
