Hammond 1427BCGPG36 32 mm Cable PG36 Nickel Plated Brass Cordgrip, 22

The 1427BCGPG36 is a large PG36 cordgrip machined from nickel plated brass. It creates a liquid-tight, strain-relieved entry where a cable enters or leaves an enclosure, and is aimed at contractors and equipment builders sealing heavy feeder or multi-core cable.

It accepts cable from 22 mm (0.87 in) to 32 mm (1.26 in) in diameter. The large opening and NBR (nitrile rubber) seal accept a wide range of diameters, and the strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring so the cable is held without twisting or damage. Use the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that fits your cable.

The 1427BCGPG36 mounts in a 48 mm (1.89 in) hole, with an outer length (L) of 37 mm (1.46 in) and inner thread length (T) of 8 mm (0.31 in). A locknut and EPDM o-ring are included. PG36 guide torque is 13–16 N-m on the sealing nut and 13–15 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

The 1427BCG series is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, gives protection to IP68 and is UL listed, operating from -40C to +100C with temporary heat resistance up to 120C. RoHS and REACH compliant; ships in a bag at 0.46 lbs (0.21 kg).
