Hammond 1427BCGM63 35 mm Cable, IP68 M63x1.5 Brass Cordgrip for 29

The 1427BCGM63 is the M63x1.5 size in the nickel plated brass 1427BCG family of liquid-tight cordgrips. It seals and secures a cable where it enters or leaves an enclosure, and is aimed at panel shops, electrical contractors and equipment builders working with large metric knockouts.

Listed for cable from 29 mm (1.14 in) to 35 mm (1.38 in) in diameter, it uses an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal behind a large opening to accept a wide range of diameters. The strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring for firm strain relief without twisting or damaging the cable. The manufacturer advises using the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that will fit the application.

The 1427BCGM63 installs in a 63 mm (2.48 in) mounting hole. Outer length (L) is 38 mm (1.50 in) and inner thread length (T) is 10 mm (0.39 in). A locknut and EPDM o-ring come with it. For M63 the guide torque is 24–27 N-m on the sealing nut and 19–23 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

The series is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, provides protection to IP68 and is UL listed, with a -40C to +100C working range and temporary heat resistance up to 120C. RoHS and REACH compliant; ships in a bag at 0.98 lbs (0.44 kg).
