Hammond 1427BCGPG13 12 mm Cable PG13 Nickel Plated Brass Cordgrip, 6

The 1427BCGPG13 is a PG13 liquid-tight cordgrip made from nickel plated brass. It seals and anchors cable at the point where it enters or leaves an enclosure, a common need for control panel builders, field electricians and OEM equipment designers.

It fits cable from 6 mm (0.24 in) to 12 mm (0.47 in) in diameter. An NBR (nitrile rubber) seal and large opening accept a wide range of diameters, and the strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring for firm strain relief without twisting or damaging the cable. Use the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that fits your cable.

The 1427BCGPG13 mounts in a 21 mm (0.83 in) hole and has an outer length (L) of 23 mm (0.91 in). The ordering table gives the inner thread length (T) as 7 mm (0.28 in); the part drawing lists the inner length as 6.5 mm. A locknut and EPDM o-ring are included. The series torque table lists PG13.5 at 4–5 N-m for the sealing nut and 6–8 N-m for the locknut, as a guide that can vary depending on the application.

The series is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 with IP68 protection and is UL listed, working from -40C to +100C with temporary heat resistance up to 120C. RoHS and REACH compliant; ships in a bag at 0.08 lbs (0.04 kg).
