Hammond 1427BCGPG11 10 mm Cable PG11 Nickel Plated Brass Cordgrip, 5

The 1427BCGPG11 is a PG11 liquid-tight cordgrip in nickel plated brass, used where a cable enters or leaves an enclosure. It gives electricians, machine builders and enclosure integrators a sealed, strain-relieved entry for mid-small cables.

This size handles cable from 5 mm (0.20 in) to 10 mm (0.39 in) in diameter. Its large opening and NBR (nitrile rubber) seal accept a wide range of diameters, and the strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring to grip the cable without twisting or damaging it. The manufacturer recommends selecting the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that fits.

The 1427BCGPG11 installs in a 19 mm (0.75 in) mounting hole, with an outer length (L) of 22 mm (0.87 in) and an inner thread length (T) of 6 mm (0.24 in). The locknut and EPDM o-ring are included. For PG11 the guide torque is 3–4 N-m on the sealing nut and 4.5–5.5 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

Across the series, the cordgrips are designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 with protection to IP68 and are UL listed. The working temperature is -40C to +100C with temporary heat resistance up to 120C. RoHS and REACH compliant; bag packed at 0.06 lbs (0.03 kg).
