Hammond 1422N4SSB12F 60x48x12 304 Stainless Type 4X Floormount Enclosure

The 1422N4SSB12F is the 304 stainless steel, 48 in wide entry point of the 1422 N4 SS series of Type 4X two door floormount enclosures. It houses electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments where equipment may be hosed down, remain very wet, or where corrosion is a serious problem, and its welded 12 in floor stands let it stand directly on the floor.

The enclosure measures 60.13 in H x 48.06 in W x 12.69 in D (1,527 x 1,221 x 322 mm); the manufacturer's long description lists it nominally as 62 x 48 x 12. On the drawing, overall height with the floor stands is 72.13 in, the single door opening is 45.31 in wide by 57.38 in high, usable depth is 12.06 in, and each 22.00 in door offers 20.64 in of clear space. A removable 10 gauge, white powder coated inner panel of 56.00 x 44.00 in (1422 x 1118 mm) mounts on collar studs with panel supports.

The body is formed 12 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes, finished in natural brushed stainless. Doors ride on continuous hinges with pull-out stainless hinge pins and close with heavy duty stainless steel clamps over a seamless poured-in place gasket; a formed lip excludes flowing liquids and there is provision for a padlock. Lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles, bonding and grounding studs for each door, and a literature pocket are included.

Listed as UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), the 1422N4SSB12F also complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. It ships on a skid at 494 lbs (224.07 kg).
