Hammond 1418N4SSO10 42x30x10 In Type 4X 304 Stainless Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4SSO10 is a 42 in high, 30 in wide, 10 in deep (1,067 x 762 x 254 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel. Its tall 39 x 27 in inner panel suits longer control layouts for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring in locations that may be hosed down, very wet or corrosive.

The enclosure is formed 14 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Its drawing shows a door stiffener, which the series fits to larger enclosures for extra rigidity. A stainless steel continuous hinge carries the door, which is removed by pulling the hinge pin, and stainless steel clamps seal it against a seamless poured-in place gasket. Formed lips exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and a padlocking provision is included.

The removable 12 gauge inner panel is 39 x 27 in (991 x 686 mm), white powder coated, on collar studs. The drawing shows a door opening of 27.21 in wide by 39.21 in high and 10.17 in of usable depth. Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, with a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a door literature pocket.

For compliance, the series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001 apply, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
