Hammond 1418N4SSM8 36x30x8 In Type 4X 304 Stainless Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4SSM8 is a 36 in high, 30 in wide and 8 in deep (914 x 762 x 203 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel. Part of the 1418 N4 SS series, it gives a broad 33 x 27 in mounting panel in a shallow 8 in profile, for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring in hose-down, very wet or corrosive locations.

Formed 14 gauge stainless steel is joined with smooth, continuously welded seams, with no knockouts, cutouts or holes to seal. The door hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge that releases when the pin is pulled, and closes with stainless steel clamps against a seamless poured-in place gasket. Formed lips on door and body exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. Padlocking is provided for.

The included removable 12 gauge inner panel measures 33 x 27 in (838 x 686 mm), mounts on collar studs and is finished in white powder coating. The part drawing shows a 27.21 in wide by 33.21 in high door opening and 8.17 in of usable depth. Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, and there is a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a literature pocket inside the door.

The 1418 N4 SS series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. This part carries UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.

Cover and body have a natural brushed stainless finish. Shipping weight is 121 lbs (54.88 kg), boxed. The 316 stainless steel version of the 1418N4SSM8 is 1418N4S16M8.
