Hammond 1418N4SSM16 36x30x16 In Deep Type 4X Stainless Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4SSM16 is the deepest 36 x 30 in size in the 1418 N4 SS series: a 36 x 30 x 16 in (914 x 762 x 406 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel. The part drawing shows 16.13 in of usable depth, suiting bulkier instruments or hydraulic and pneumatic control components alongside junction and terminal wiring, in places that may be hosed down, very wet or corrosive.

It is formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The door hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge, removable by pulling the pin, and closes with stainless steel clamps onto a seamless poured-in place gasket. A formed lip on the door and body excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and there is provision for padlocking.

The included removable 12 gauge inner panel is 33 x 27 in (838 x 686 mm), finished in white powder coating and mounted on collar studs. The drawing gives a door opening of 27.20 in wide by 33.20 in high. Welded brackets provide for wall mounting, and the enclosure has a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the body and a literature pocket inside the door.

For compliance, the series is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001 apply, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.

The finish is natural brushed stainless steel. The 1418N4SSM16 ships boxed at 149 lbs (67.59 kg). Its 316 stainless steel equivalent is 1418N4S16M16.
