Hammond 1418N4SSJ6 24x24x6 In Square 304 Stainless Type 4X Enclosure

The 1418N4SSJ6 is a square, shallow Type 4X wallmount enclosure measuring 24 in H x 24 in W x 6 in D (610 x 610 x 152 mm). It is formed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel and belongs to the 1418 N4 SS Series, used for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures where equipment may be hosed down, very wet, or exposed to serious corrosion.

Its removable 12 gauge inner panel measures 21.00 in x 21.00 in (533 x 533 mm), giving a generous square mounting field in a 6 in deep body. The panel is white powder coated and mounted on collar studs. The drawing lists a 21.21 in x 21.21 in door opening and 6.17 in usable depth.

Construction includes smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes; a formed lip on door and enclosure that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants; and a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The door is held by stainless steel clamps, has provision for padlocking and swings on a stainless steel continuous hinge that is removable by pulling the pin. A bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a door literature pocket are provided.

Welded brackets with 0.44 in holes on 18.00 in x 25.25 in spacing (per drawing) handle wall mounting. The series is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4SSJ6 ships at 65 lbs (29.48 kg).
