Hammond 1418N4SSG6 16x16x6 In Square 304 Stainless NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1418N4SSG6 is a compact, square Type 4X wallmount enclosure measuring 16 in H x 16 in W x 6 in D (406 x 406 x 152 mm). Made from formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel, it belongs to the 1418 N4 SS Series and is suited to junction boxes, terminal wiring, instrument enclosures and small control housings in locations that are hosed down, very wet or subject to corrosion.

A removable 12 gauge inner panel of 13.00 in x 13.00 in (330 x 330 mm) is included, finished in white powder coat and mounted on collar studs. The drawing shows a 13.21 in x 13.21 in door opening and 6.17 in usable depth.

The enclosure features smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes, and a formed lip on door and body to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. The door seals on a seamless poured-in-place gasket and is secured with stainless steel clamps; it hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge that can be removed by pulling the pin, and there is provision for padlocking. Grounding is by a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the enclosure, and a literature pocket sits inside the door.

For installation, welded brackets carry 0.44 in holes on 10.00 in x 17.25 in spacing per the drawing. Surfaces have a natural, smooth brushed stainless finish. The series is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4SSG6 ships at 30 lbs (13.61 kg).
