The 1418N4SSER8 is a landscape Type 4X wallmount enclosure measuring 20 in H x 24 in W x 8 in D (508 x 610 x 203 mm), wider than it is tall. Built from formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel as part of the 1418 N4 SS Series, it suits wide wiring layouts in instrument enclosures, junction boxes, terminal wiring and control housings exposed to hose-down, heavy wetting or corrosion.
The removable 12 gauge inner panel measures 17.00 in H x 21.00 in W (432 x 533 mm), finished in white powder coat and mounted on collar studs. The drawing shows a 21.21 in wide by 17.21 in high door opening and 8.17 in of usable depth.
Construction follows the series design: smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes; a formed lip on door and body to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants; and a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The door is secured with stainless steel clamps, has provision for padlocking, and hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge that can be removed by pulling its pin. A door bonding stud, enclosure grounding stud and door literature pocket are included.
Welded brackets with 0.44 in holes on 18.00 in x 21.25 in spacing (per drawing) handle wall mounting. The series is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. Shipping weight of the 1418N4SSER8 is 61 lbs (27.67 kg).
