Hammond 1418N4SSE10 24x20x10 In 304 Stainless Type 4X Enclosure

The 1418N4SSE10 is the 10 in deep member of the 24 in x 20 in family in the 1418 N4 SS Series, measuring 24 in H x 20 in W x 10 in D (610 x 508 x 254 mm). Formed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel, this Type 4X wallmount enclosure gives OEM engineers and electricians extra depth for control gear and instrumentation in places that are hosed down, very wet or corrosive.

The drawing lists 10.17 in of usable depth and a 17.21 in x 21.21 in door opening. The included removable 12 gauge inner panel measures 21.00 in x 17.00 in (533 x 432 mm), finished in white powder coat and mounted on collar studs.

The enclosure is built with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on door and body excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. Stainless steel clamps secure the door, which hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge that is removable by pulling the pin; there is provision for padlocking. A bonding stud on the door, grounding stud in the enclosure and literature pocket are provided.

Welded brackets with 0.44 in mounting holes on 14.00 in x 25.25 in spacing (per drawing) handle wall mounting. The finish is natural stainless steel with a smooth brush. The series is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4SSE10 ships at 60 lbs (27.22 kg).
