Hammond 1418N4SSD6 20x20x6 In Square 304 Stainless Type 4X Enclosure

With a square 20 in x 20 in face and 6 in of depth (508 x 508 x 152 mm), the 1418N4SSD6 is a shallow Type 4X wallmount enclosure in formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel. It fits instrument enclosures, junction boxes, terminal wiring and compact control housings in locations that may be hosed down, stay very wet, or face serious corrosion.

The included removable 12 gauge inner panel is also square at 17.00 in x 17.00 in (432 x 432 mm), finished in white powder coat and mounted on collar studs. The drawing gives a 17.21 in x 17.21 in door opening and 6.17 in usable depth.

This 1418 N4 SS Series enclosure has smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and the door seals against a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The door hangs on a stainless steel continuous hinge that is removable by pulling its pin and is secured with stainless steel clamps, with provision for padlocking. Bonding and grounding studs and a door literature pocket are provided.

Welded brackets with 0.44 in holes on 14.00 in x 21.25 in spacing handle wall mounting, per the drawing. The finish is natural, smooth brushed stainless steel. The series is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. Shipping weight of the 1418N4SSD6 is 40 lbs (18.14 kg).
