Hammond 1418N4SSC6 20x16x6 In 304 Stainless Type 4X Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4SSC6 is a 20 in H x 16 in W x 6 in D (508 x 406 x 152 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure from the 1418 N4 SS Series. Formed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel, it houses shallow control components, terminal strips and instruments in places where equipment may be hosed down or otherwise be very wet, or where corrosion is a serious problem.

Its removable 12 gauge inner panel measures 17.00 in x 13.00 in (432 x 330 mm), is finished in white powder coat, and mounts on collar studs. The drawing shows a 13.21 in x 17.21 in door opening and 6.17 in usable depth, with an overall height of 22.25 in.

Construction features include smooth, continuously welded seams with no knockouts, cutouts or holes; a formed lip on door and body that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants; and a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The door swings on a stainless steel continuous hinge (removable by pulling the pin) and closes with stainless steel clamps; there is provision for padlocking. Inside you will find a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud in the enclosure and a door literature pocket.

Welded brackets handle wall mounting, with 0.44 in holes spaced 10.00 in x 21.25 in on the drawing. The cover and enclosure have a natural, smooth brushed stainless finish. The series carries UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 ratings and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The 1418N4SSC6 ships at 38 lbs (17.24 kg).
