Hammond 1418N4S16Y24QT 72x37x24 in 316 SS Quarter-Turn Freestanding Enclosure

The 1418N4S16Y24QT is the widest model in the 1418 N4 FS QT SS Series ordering table: a 72.06 x 37.06 x 24.06 in (1,830 x 941 x 611 mm) Type 4X freestanding enclosure in 12 gauge 316 stainless steel. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls with provision for panel mounting or rack mounting of equipment where equipment may be hosed down, be very wet or face serious corrosion.

The body has smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cutouts or holes and a natural brushed stainless finish. A heavy gauge continuous hinge supports the door, which is secured with quarter turn latches and seals on a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles are provided for installation.

The drawing shows a 61.31 x 33.31 in door opening, 25.13 in of usable depth and 58.53 x 31.38 in of clear space available on the door. Mounting channels welded inside the enclosure take optional inner panels or rack equipment rails. The optional full size inner panel is 72YFW (white powder paint); alternative inner panel options are also available. A grounding stud in the enclosure and a bonding stud on the door are provided.

The enclosure is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, as well as REACH and RoHS. Shipping weight is 300 lbs (136.08 kg) on a skid. For 304 stainless, order 1418N4SSY24QT.
