Hammond 1418N4S16W18QT 72x25x18 in 316 SS Quarter-Turn Freestanding Enclosure

The 1418N4S16W18QT is a Type 4X freestanding enclosure measuring 72.06 x 25.06 x 18.06 in (1,830 x 637 x 459 mm), built from 12 gauge 316 stainless steel. As the narrowest and shallowest size in the 1418 N4 FS QT SS Series table, it is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls with provision for panel mounting or rack mounting of equipment where washdown, heavy moisture or serious corrosion is a concern.

Seams are smooth and continuously welded, without knockouts, cutouts or holes, so you make only the entries you need. The door hangs on a heavy gauge continuous hinge, is secured with quarter turn latches and seals on a seamless poured-in-place gasket. Heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles are provided for handling, and the enclosure is finished in natural brushed stainless.

Per the drawing, the door opening is 61.31 x 21.31 in, usable depth is 19.06 in and 58.53 x 19.38 in of clear space is available on the door. Welded mounting channels inside accept optional inner panels or rack equipment rails; the optional full size inner panel is 72WFW, finished in white powder paint, and alternative panel options are also available. A grounding stud in the enclosure and a bonding stud on the door are provided.

Ratings are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, with compliance to NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. REACH and RoHS compliant. The 1418N4S16W18QT ships on a skid at 300 lbs (136.08 kg); the 304 stainless version is 1418N4SSW18QT.
