Hammond 1418N4ALC10 20x16x10 In Type 4X Aluminum Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4ALC10 is a 20 x 16 x 10 in (508 x 406 x 254 mm) Type 4X aluminum wallmount enclosure with a continuous hinge door and aluminum clamps. It is the 10 in deep version of the 20 x 16 size, giving extra depth for deeper components in control housings that may be hosed down or exposed to corrosion.

The body is 0.081 in and the door 0.100 in Type 5052 H-32 aluminum, with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. The door is secured with aluminum clamps, has provision for padlocking, and comes off by pulling the aluminum hinge pin. The removable 12 gauge steel inner panel is white powder coated and mounts on collar studs; the door carries a literature pocket and bonding stud, with a grounding stud in the enclosure.

The 1418N4ALC10 is 20 in x 16 in x 10 in (508 mm x 406 mm x 254 mm) (H x W x D). A removable 17.00 x 13.00 in (432 x 330 mm) steel inner panel is included, and overall depth at the door is 11.22 in on the drawing. For layout, the manufacturer drawing shows an overall height of 22.25 in including the mounting brackets and an overall depth of 11.22 in and a 17.22 x 13.22 in door opening. Mounting holes are 0.44 in diameter, and the shipping weight is 22 lbs (9.98 kg).

The series is listed to UL 508A Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and CSA Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP66.
