Hammond 1418N4ALB6 16x12x6 In Type 4X Aluminum Wallmount Enclosure

The 1418N4ALB6 is the smallest model in the 1418 N4 AL series: a 16 x 12 x 6 in (406 x 305 x 152 mm) Type 4X aluminum wallmount enclosure with a continuous hinge door held closed by aluminum clamps. It suits panel builders and electricians who need a hinged-door control or terminal enclosure in locations that are hosed down, very wet or subject to corrosion.

The body is 0.081 in and the door 0.100 in Type 5052 H-32 aluminum, with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A formed lip on door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. The door is secured with aluminum clamps, has provision for padlocking, and comes off by pulling the aluminum hinge pin. The removable 12 gauge steel inner panel is white powder coated and mounts on collar studs; the door carries a literature pocket and bonding stud, with a grounding stud in the enclosure.

The 1418N4ALB6 is 16 in x 12 in x 6 in (406 mm x 305 mm x 152 mm) (H x W x D). A removable 13.00 x 9.00 in (330 x 229 mm) steel inner panel is included. For layout, the manufacturer drawing shows an overall height of 18.25 in including the mounting brackets and an overall depth of 7.22 in, a 13.22 x 9.22 in door opening and 6.08 in of usable depth. Mounting holes are 0.44 in diameter, and the shipping weight is 12 lbs (5.44 kg).
