At 16 x 14 x 10 in (406 x 356 x 254 mm), the 1414N4PHSSO10 is the largest and deepest size listed in the 1414 N4 PH SS Series ordering table. The drawing gives 9.35 in of usable depth, useful when a junction box, terminal wiring enclosure, instrument enclosure or electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing must hold deeper components.
The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and a natural brushed finish. A continuous stainless steel hinged cover is secured with stainless steel clamps and screws and closes on a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The series is designed for locations where equipment may be hosed down or otherwise be very wet, or where corrosion may be a problem.
A removable 14 gauge inner panel measuring 14.75 x 12.88 in is included, white powder coated and mounted on tapped studs. Per the drawing, the door opening is 15.30 x 13.30 in and 15.15 x 13.15 in of clear space is available on the door. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud inside the enclosure are provided.
Welded mounting brackets use 0.31 in holes on 12.00 x 16.75 in spacing. Ratings: UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 compliance and IEC 60529 IP66; REACH and RoHS compliant. It ships boxed at 28 lbs (12.70 kg). For 316 stainless, specify 1414N4PHS16O10.
