Hammond 1414N4PHSSG4 8x6x4 in 304 Stainless Type 4X Junction Box

The 1414N4PHSSG4 is an 8 x 6 x 4 in (203 x 152 x 102 mm) Type 4X junction box built from 304 stainless steel in the 1414 N4 PH SS Series. It keeps the 8 x 6 in face of the 1414N4PHSSG but adds depth, giving 3.35 in of usable space for terminal blocks, instruments or control devices in hose-down, wet or corrosive locations.

Construction is 16 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, left in a natural stainless, smooth brushed finish. A continuous stainless steel hinged cover closes onto a seamless poured-in place gasket and is secured with stainless steel clamps and screws. Welded brackets are provided for mounting the enclosure, and inside, tapped studs carry the included removable 14 gauge inner panel, which is finished in white powder coating. The door has a bonding stud and the enclosure a grounding stud.

The included inner panel is 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm). The drawing lists a 7.30 x 5.30 in door opening, 7.15 x 5.15 in clear space on the door, and a 9.50 in overall height including brackets. It ships boxed at 7 lbs (3.18 kg).

It is UL 508A and CSA listed for Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP66. Where 316 stainless is required for the same size, the equivalent is 1414N4PHS16G4.
